Paddling Opportunities For All Abilities
The American Canoe Association (ACA) leads “the adaptive recreation industry, training instructors and program providers in the best practices of inclusive paddlesports.” ACA’s “Adaptive Paddling Program teaches the skills and knowledge needed to outfit equipment and modify teaching styles to allow people of all abilities to participate in paddlesport activities as safely, as comfortably, and with the same performance potential as all others.” ~ americancanoe.org
Our ACA Certified Adaptive Kayaking Instructors focus on strengths and passions to put you on the water safely and comfortably. We are currently accepting clients for private adaptive lessons and excursions. Partnering with our sister non-profit, LoCo ‘Yaks, we are offering discounted adaptive class time. We also spend time working with amazing groups like Adaptive Adventuresand Team River Runner to get more people on the water and provide fun events like the Kayak Football Challenge.

Getting You On The Water Safely & Efficiently
Our paddling equipment was chosen specifically in consideration of our time spent on Lake Erie. We want our guests to be comfortable on the water and to enjoy kayaking as much as we do!
Our fleet consists of Perception Kayaks, Werner Paddles, and MTI PFDs (personal flotation devices). Most of our adaptive equipment, including the Transfer Bench and Kayak Chariot, was designed and manufactured by Creating Ability. Kevin and his team are innovators in the world of Adaptive Paddlesports. If you are in the market for a fully outfitted kayak or a single piece of adaptive gear in order to make your boat perfect for you, call them first — they’ll know exactly what you need.
Upper body limitations and looking for a paddle that understands you? Check out Angle Oar. The Versa Paddle opens up new kayaking possibilities for people with shoulder, back, or grip limitations, or other health conditions where a traditional kayak paddle isn’t the best option. They are awesome! Plus, we love their slogan “Kayaking For Every Body”.
